At which stage of the setup process should Staff Status Assignment be performed?The Staff Status Assignment procedure must be completed following installation of BalaBoss Client Navigator and prior to performing any of the other set up procedures. What is the difference between Staff and Users?The list of staff members that you set up in this procedure may not necessarily be the same as the list of users that you must establish in the next procedure. For example, you may want to allow a visitor who is not a staff member, to log on to the system as a user. We prefer not to use the terms "Partner, Manager, Supervisor". Can I define the titles of key positions used by our firm?In the upper portion of the Staff Status Assignment form, define the titles of the key positions used by your firm by entering their descriptions. While these titles are completely discretionary, the most common terms for the three categories are Partner, Manager and Supervisor How do I record the status within the firm of various staff members?In the lower portion of the Staff Status Assignment form, enter the first name, last name, and the initials of each staff member in your firm. On return to this form, BalaBoss Client Navigator will automatically arrange the staff list in alphabetical order. To assign a status category to a staff member, click the Status Category drop box and select from the list. If the status category you require has not been set up, click Status Category Maintenance. The Status Category Maintenance form appears. In the Status Category column, enter the available positions at your firm. For each position you have entered, indicate if the position is eligible to be appointed to one or more of the key positions. When you have finished assigning a status category to the staff members within your firm, click Close.
